IMAO Awarded by European H2020 programme for the B66 Camera!
In November 2017, IMAO entered in a new challenging phase in the development of our B66 extra large format camera. After months of hard work and preparation, we were awarded by the European Commission and received the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme funds for SME instruments, for a global budget of 2.4M€.
" The B66 camera project started 7 years ago here in Limoges. Being awarded today by the European Commission is really exciting for the team and will propel us in a great new work organisation! " Jean-Paul Vernière, Head of R&D
IMAO B66 Camera prototype is already capable to produce images two to three times larger than the standard images size generated by the current cameras on the market, which reduce drastically flight time and processing time. This prototype is used for specifics projects in France through tight partnerships.
This H2020 programme will permit IMAO to setup a full production line in order to produce ten cameras a year in 2020, and carry the team to face consequent technological challenges, under the name of Aerial BCP project.
